Special Recognitions – Image

I wanted to create a mixed media feel piece exploring how we chase progress often at the expense of recognising what we have thats to be treasured today. The mentally overwhelming nature of the world in which we live being subjected to the horrors of war and destruction. Weeping for our past and the simpler pleasures we used to enjoy while focusing on running towards a future of increasing tech and opportunity.

The figure in the piece represents human thought and experience, a head full of information seeking a pathway leading to success yet a glimpse of green, a walk with a child...the things that ground us.
