Special Recognitions – Image

I've been drawn to how Dutch masters like Vermeer painted light and quiet moments. And of course Hopper's sense of modern loneliness. In this image, I wanted to capture both - using an old Amsterdam café where the checkerboard floor and globe lamp create that perfect stillness. The couple in green and white sit apart yet together, like figures in a painting. And there are a few easter eggs hidden in the image.
