Project Description
The ‘Minarets of Tomorrow’ explores the beautiful language and motifs of Islamic architecture, the sacredness that it embodies through scale, proportion and details. I wanted to wander into a different blurred zone with this piece, find an intersection where past, present and future can collide. My canvas with this series becomes that interface between all three. Firstly, the historical depth and authenticity that Islamic architecture carries, history just runs through the whole structure, at every turn there is anew story to unfold. Followed by layers of baroque, combining two things that never got a chance to intersect but in a dream world we could imagine the beauty that could’ve been. To bring this into the present, I wanted to add to the forms in an absurd manner, pushing their limits creating from sonly imaginable in the digital realm. The future is the medium of choice, Ai generated add a fourth dimension to this canvas the medium is not just preferred due to the artists choice but actually plays its own role in this intersection between the three states of time.
