Project Description
This project is a poetic meditation on the ephemerality of being. It visualizes the slow erosion of identity, possessions, and time through melting wax, symbolizing the inevitable transformation of all things. The use of candles as both a source of light and destruction evokes themes of ritual, mourning, and the transient beauty of decay.
The themes of impermanence, transformation, and existential decay become even more prominent. The melting wax is no longer just about the passage of time; it also touches on themes of identity dissolution, the fragility of material possessions, and the ephemeral nature of human existence.
The inclusion of objects like bags, boots, books, and human figures suggests a deeper exploration of consumerism, memory, and personal identity—everything is fleeting, whether it's fashion, knowledge, or the self.
