Ryan McCoy

Ryan McCoy (@brainracked on IG) serves as the Creative Director for the animation studio Halon Entertainment and has been with the company since 2005. Notably, he started his career in previsualization on X-Men: The Last Stand. Over the years, Ryan has traveled around the world leading teams on high-profile projects including Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Red Tails, the Meg, Pacific Rim II, the Hunger Games, Free Guy, Netflix’s Slumberland, Aquaman II and I, for which he received a 2019 VES Award nomination for Best Cinematography in a Photoreal Film. McCoy has also visualized a theme park ride for Disney and has recently focused his attention on directing game cinematics for titles such as Spellbreak, Amazon’s New World, Civilization 7 and Kerbal Space Program 2, for which he won multiple awards globally. Over the past year, Ryan has turned his attention to AI and grown an instagram account to over 130k followers. He’s found it to be an exhilarating extension of his natural creativity and experience, allowing him the ability to explore and develop his own unique science fiction world. “I can sit down and make something in one day that would otherwise take me half a year to create with traditional 3d software”.
