"The Unbecoming” is a two parts posthuman study of identity ruptured and reconstructed. It transforms flesh into latticework, memory into structure, and presence into something simultaneously fragile and monumental. The work questions what remains of the human when form bends under the weight of technology, time, and glitch. The project begins with the idea of deconstruction as transformation: beauty is not fixed but unravelled, reshaped into architectures of bone, metal, and digital residue. The backdrop acts as a visual rupture—violent yet ceremonial—framing the figure as both sacred and alien.

By fusing digital sculpture with surreal portraiture, the work resists easy categorization. It stands as both monument and glitch, echoing the contest’s theme of “Beauty in Error.” Each fracture, instead of erasing humanity, reveals a new structure of becoming—alien yet deeply human.
