Souvenir is a series from my ongoing Post-Nature universe—an imagined forest-world shaped by metamorphosis, ritual, and the deep integration of human and nature. In this realm, beings emerge crowned in crystalline antlers and mineral growths, their forms sculpted by the forest itself. Each subject exists in a suspended state of transformation—part animal, part human, part terrain. They are uncanny yet beautiful, accessible only to those who know how to look. Their presence evokes reverence, not fear. Some appear as forest guardians, others as remnants of a myth that was never written down. Their expressions are unreadable, their gaze either turned inward or concealed, as if caught mid-becoming. The title Souvenir refers not to an object, but to a trace: the kind of memory that lingers after a liminal experience—something too strange, too fleeting, or too intimate to hold. These beings represent what we carry from those moments—not physical keepsakes, but flashes of memory lodged in the psyche. Like remnants from a dream or visions glimpsed at the edge of awareness, they blur the line between what was seen and what was felt. This series explores beauty as something alive and structural, shaped by natural intelligence rather than cultural ideals. Their crystalline growths and velvet textures speak to a slow process of transformation: an aesthetic rooted not in stillness, but in states of becoming. Here, identity is not fixed.
