Everything has the potential to be beautiful, even the things we once dismissed as trash. What we throw away still carries textures, colors, and fragments of our lives. From one perspective it looks like chaos, a mountain of waste. But when we choose to look differently, patterns emerge, fragments transform into something vivid, alive, and strangely magical. Red Forest caftan design pattern reimagines waste as wonder. In collaboration with Michalis Pantelides the textile designer of it, Cyprus Surreal transforms discarded objects into flowing patterns, surreal horizons, and bold red blooms. This is not just recycling — it is reimagining, reshaping destruction into creation, turning what suffocates the earth into symbols of beauty and resilience. It is a reminder that when we shift our perspective, even the broken and overlooked can become extraordinary. The chaos of trash dissolves into art, and in that transformation, we find a vision where waste becomes harmony and where the ordinary rebirths into the surreal.

This project (Red Forest - Caftan Pattern) was based on the artwork of the Cypriot textile designer, Michalis Pantelidis and his exhibition piece at the Europa Experience in Paris on the 1–31 Oct 2025 to represent Cyprus at the European Parliament exhibition, alongside 28 creators from across Europe exploring sustainable fashion.
