“Petrol Souls” is a reflection of a world where nature and pollution have become inseparable. In this series I used artificial intelligence to conjure animals formed entirely from oil spills, living beings reimagined through the iridescent residue of human excess. What first appears mesmerising soon becomes tragic, a rainbow born from ruin. Each creature... crocodile, whale, serpent, frog, shark, and primate, emerges as both ghost and survivor. They are nature’s last breath, shimmering on the asphalt like messages from a poisoned Earth. Their liquid forms mirror our own paradox, humanity’s desire to create beauty from destruction, progress from decay. This work explores the tension between technology and ecology, between awe and accountability. The same innovation that allows AI to simulate life also mirrors the industrial appetite that erases it. Through this series I wanted to show that even in oil’s seductive colours there is mourning, a warning wrapped in beauty. We are the species that painted the planet with its own blood and called it progress. “Petrol Souls” is not just about the animals we are losing, it is about the reflections we can still see if we dare to look into the shimmer before it disappears.

This body of work was born from the same spirit that drives my creative activism and the stories I have shared on LinkedIn and other platforms, the belief that art must do more than decorate the world, it must challenge it. I have always seen myself as a creative soldier, using imagination as a form of resistance, turning design into a weapon of awareness. “Petrol Souls” came from my fascination with the movement of Just Stop Oil and their courage to make people see what we often choose to ignore. I wanted to capture that same urgency through art to show the beauty and horror that coexist in our addiction to fossil fuels. Oil became my paint, AI became my brush, and the planet became my canvas. Over the years I have shared personal reflections on my creative journey, from agency life to independent rebellion using my work to amplify messages of humanity, empathy, and ecological truth. Every campaign I’ve created, whether it’s about wildlife, war, or social justice, carries the same pulse: a fight for life in all its forms. My work is not about perfection or commercial polish, but about conviction. I make images that speak when words fail, that reflect a world gasping for breath yet still capable of wonder. “Petrol Souls” is my protest and my prayer, proof that creativity can still ignite conscience in an age of indifference.
