A desk that revives the fading presence of carpets in today’s minimalist interiors. Its name, fusing ‘Paz’ (Pazyryk, the world’s oldest knotted rug) and ‘Tab’ (Table), echoes the Persian word ‘Baztab’ which means reflection. Two clear Bio-PMMA sheets embrace a CNC-cut cork layer, echoing the carpet’s centuries-long rest in ice. The cork’s color tones recall the natural dyes of the Pazyryk rug. Its CNC-cut motifs, inspired from the carpet’s central pattern, including four-petal emblem (symbol of the four seasons and four elements), filter light into interactive shadows, keeping its memory alive in daily use. Both materials are sustainable and aligned with UN SDG12 on responsible consumption. Beyond form, it ensures comfort and usability with executive dimensions (160×80×75 cm). PazTab unites a next-generation Bio-PMMA shell with the timeless warmth of cork: the body shaped by innovation, the soul preserved by heritage. The carpet is no longer beneath the table; it is woven into its core.
