"Pages of a Life" is a cinematic AI-driven short film that blends memory, legacy, and personal history into a poetic visual narrative.
Told through imagined objects — an old photo album, a book that flips through memories — the film reconstructs fragments of one man’s life: a two-year-old child marked “special settler” during Stalin’s forced deportations, a sailor, a painter, and a poet.
Animated with emotional transitions and atmospheric effects, the story unfolds through symbolic visuals — eyes, waves, books, clocks.
Inspired by the real poetry and paintings of the filmmaker’s grandfather, the story reanimates personal history through artificial intelligence — not to invent the past, but to evoke what was once deeply felt.
"Pages of a Life" is a meditation on time, silence, and generational connection. It explores how AI can become a tool not just for creation, but for emotional preservation — transforming intangible memory into cinematic form.

Artificial intelligence was not just a tool in this project — it became the bridge between memory and imagination. “Pages of a Life” is based on real family history, poetry, and artworks, but its emotional power relies on how these fragments were visualized and brought to life through AI. Thanks to AI image generation, I was able to reconstruct scenes from the 1940s — like Stalin-era deportations, life at sea, or childhood winters — without access to footage or re-enactments. Using AI, I transformed archival photos and real paintings into living, cinematic moments. AI video tools allowed me to animate memories, turning still portraits into symbolic, atmospheric scenes. What would have taken a full production crew, actors, props, and months of post-production became possible through an intimate, independent creative process — powered by AI. Most importantly, AI helped me tell a deeply personal story with visual richness, emotional subtlety, and poetic rhythm. Without it, this film could never exist in its current form — as a cinematic memory woven from real legacy and imagined space.
