Qi Yun is a New York–based fashion designer whose work bridges couture craftsmanship, technical apparel, and AI-driven visual storytelling. This project was created through AI image-generation, blending couture sensibilities with speculative design, and expanding fashion beyond the runway into cinematic storytelling and poetic transformation. Inspired by ritual attire, baroque portraiture, and botanical morphologies, the work explores cycles of death and rebirth through a visual arc from shadow to light. Each image was refined to capture sculptural silhouettes and tactile illusions of fabric—pleated organza, translucent petals, metallic sheen—while transcending realism into symbolic abstraction. Rather than replicating garments, the series imagines new vocabularies for fashion, staging mythologies that merge body, architecture, and nature.
