This series emerges from my personal cartography — each piece a fragment of emotional topography shaped by the coordinates of my ground zero and the numerals of my birth. These abstract works are not mere representations of place, but meditations on movement: the psychic residue left behind in cities crossed, skies slept beneath, and languages half-remembered. In My Shifting Latitude, I trace the arc of perpetual migration—not as exile, but as expansion. In the main image, the golden crucible amongst surreal architectures evoke the invisible vessel of memory and mood, threading through the facades of unfamiliar homes. Each structure is a vessel of thought, each hue a temperature of feeling. Reflections in water suggest the duality of presence and longing, the way every place is both real and imagined. The series is seeded with a deeply personal prompt—literally—with the numbers and coordinates that define my origin, yet the output is fluid, generative, and open-ended. Ultimately, My Shifting Latitude is a visual diary of dislocation and belonging.
