“Half Life” is a visual study of fractured identity and perception in the modern city. Each image layers cinematic portraiture with urban streetscapes, using AI as an intentional collaborator to generate spectral doubles and ghosted reflections. The series explores how we exist in multiple states at once—present and absent, whole and fragmented—while navigating environments shaped by speed, surveillance, and dissonance. The palette of neon greens and amber tones intensifies this liminal effect, evoking both the glow of nightlife and the artificiality of machine vision. By fusing noir aesthetics with contemporary digital distortion, Half Life situates the subject as both individual and archetype: a figure caught between material reality and algorithmic afterimage.
