Burn With Me, and Call It Home is a look into a period of severe mental health deterioration when i was growing up as a kid, my father suffered from a number of mental health issues that were left unchecked because he thought there was nothing wrong with him but during the height of his symptoms he experienced escalating psychotic episodes, one of which culminated in him threatening to burn our house down with all of us inside. In the chaos, my mother bravely fought him off, giving me the chance to round up my siblings and lead us to safety. a traumatic event one would probably want to forget but from personal accounts, this feels like a semi accurate representation of how it felt from my dads view, and offers a separate viewpoint from those who haven't experienced or been around people that suffer from these afflictions
